A group of eight salesian volunteers from Italy, within an international project, visited Moldova and were involved in various socio-educational and recreational activities.

The schedule of the three week visit, was highly diversified, involving a large number of activities, including the visit of the Charity Foundation “Casa Providenței”.
Here, young people spent the day helping at the Social Cafeteria, serving beneficiaries, interacting with them and finding out many useful things. The regular menu was flavored with good humor, gaiety and relaxed atmosphere.

Their experience was completed with two weeks spent at a camp in the village Voinova, Străşeni and another week as entertainers at the Center “Don Bosco” in Chisinau.
Young people who come from different backgrounds, but meet through involvement in such projects will keep in their memory the beauty of Moldova, the kindness of people and the taste of delicious food.

Salesians are a Catholic religious order founded in the nineteenth century by Saint John Bosco. The name “Salesians” was given by the founder, inspired by the kindliness and generosity of Saint Francis de Sales, bishop of Geneva in the eighteenth century.
