On the 5th of October, the Roman-Catholic Congregation “Saint Alois Scrosoppi” celebrated the Community’s Patron Saint’s Day. The House of Providence, within which is the congregation church, hosted many guests, pilgrims of the neighbouring flocks, as well as, dedicated priests and persons of other congregations. The solemn liturgy was celebrated by Mons. Benone Farcaș, Vicar-General of Chișinău Diocese, who specified that the Buiucani city district flock is practically the one within our local Church dedicated to a charism priest, who manifests himself through his love towards the needy, poor and abandoned.

Saint Alois Scrosoppi was canonized in 2002 by the Blessed Pope John Paul II. Through many pastoral and charity actions, Saint Alois, born in Italy (1804-1884), is known as the founder of the Congregation of Providence Sisters, the community of which activates within the Social-Pastoral Centre “House of Providence” with the purpose of realizing different social projects.
The Deacon-Father Edgar Vulpe, director of the “House of Providence”, spoke within his preach, about the importance of Charity in the Salvation plan: “the true and authentic love for God is possible only in the communion of love for people, especially for those who are badly off. And the single and inexhaustible source of this charity is God, the Holy Spirit that lives within us”.
