Chisinau, 22 May 2014. Mission Caritas Moldova announces donations collection. In this context, Caritas Moldova asks for support to all people, organizations and businesses to assist the Balkan countries affected by severe floods.
It was decided to collect money to assist the region as shipping in the Balkan countries of humanitarian cargo can take a long time.
The funds can be transfer to the account 225100000100479 Bank: Victoriabank, the branch number 3, Chisinau, Bank Code: VICBMD2X416 with obligatory note „Help the Balkans.”
The campaign “Help the Balkans” in Moldova will be conducted until June 30, 2014. The collected funds will be transferred to the account of the Serbian Mission Caritas and there will be purchased rollaway beds, mattresses, bedding, diapers, baby clothes, a battery-powered lamps, hygiene for the victims.
We remind that, more than 60 people were the victims of the strongest floods in the last 120 years in the Balkans caused by heavy rainfall. The main part of the dead lived in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. On 21 May was declared three days of mourning in these countries.
